Write a haiku about Vancouver’s now ubiquitous spring cherry blossoms and you might be published on a bus shelter, or even on a tombstone, apparently. The “Haiku Invitational 2009″ deadline is December 19, so get those haikus in now for your chance at fame. Top haiku will be announced this Spring at a VSO concert on March 28th, will be displayed on board Translink buses and SkyTrain cards during March and April, with celebrity readings at festival events. Submit original, unpublished English-language haiku by December 19, 2008 at www.vcbf.ca. |
