One of the primary motivations that inspire the creators of nofuncity.com is that there is a lot of really good, non-corporate culture happening in this city, but it gets so little media attention that those who might be interested in it seldom hear about cool events until after they're over, unless they're well-connected with the underground scene, and in a city as expensive as this, it's not easy keeping up with the scene and paying the bills. 

Just in time to challenge this, two local documentary filmmakers, Melissa James and Kate Kroll, have announced the creation of a documentary called "No Fun City", which examines the once vibrant cultural scene in the downtown eastside. Although the documentary is not affiliated with nofuncity.com in any way, we have some common interests, and encourage you to see the film when it is released.
