Learning how to be your own “public relations specialist” as a writer can be a critical tool, now more than ever as the media landscape continues to change. This session will cover the basics of creating professional press releases and media packages, identifying and connecting with media, and give participants simple tools to feel more comfortable while navigating the world of promotion and publicity.

Christina Meyers is a former journalist turned freelance writer and editor, and a creative writer of both fiction and non-fiction. She is the editor of the forthcoming anthology, BIG, and her first novel will be on shelves in 2021. Her work has appeared in anthologies, newspapers and magazines, and she has won or been shortlisted for a variety of literary and journalism awards. See her blog christinaplus.wordpress.com.
