Michael Mirolla, award-winning author and co-publisher of Guernica Editions, will speak about publishing in the 21st century, the history of Guernica Editions, and Guernica’s current mandate and vision. In the second half of the talk, Michael will discuss what it takes to become a Guernica writer. Q&A to follow. Presented by Canadian Authors – Metro Vancouver.
Michael is the author of more than a dozen novels, short story collections, poetry collections, and plays, and a three-time recipient of the F.G. Bressani Literary Prize. His work has been shortlisted for the Indie Book Awards and National Book Awards, selected for The Journey Prize Anthology, and nominated for the Pushcart Prize. Michael is the current writer-in-residence at Historic Joy Kogawa House and will be offering public programs through to the end of January 2020.
